Another fabulous weekend at BOTR @ The Cove. 9X Maple Blues Award winners (Chris just won Best Horn Player Of The Year again at last week's 2011 Awards), 6X Juno Award nominees DIANA BRAITHWAITE & CHRIS WHITELEY BAND from Toronto and their great band put on a couple of terrific shows. Diana Braithwaite - vocals Chris Whiteley - guitar, harmonica, trumpet, vocals Dan Whiteley (son of Chris) - guitar, harmonica and mandoli - from legendary Downchild Blues Band Gary Kendall and Mike Fitzpatrick. Seamus Cowan from The Cove stepped in on bass for a tune. |

$500 raised for both Rideau Vista & St. Edward's Elementary Schools ($1,000 total) from the 2 shows Sold out Saturday Show, good crowd Friday. Newly renovated entrance area and larger dance floor at The Cove very well received! |
